RBWH Bio-Fabrication Institute

The works associated with this project comprise of the refurbishment of the Level 12 of Block 7 at RBWH to facilitate the new Herston Bio fabrication Institute. The fit out involved specialist laboratory spaces and associated support office accommodation and clinical consultation spaces. The project delivered a world class Bio fabrication facility capable of undertaking specialised 3D printing operations to be utilised within medical procedures, associated research and collaboration between University and medical specialists to develop new technologies and practices to inform future hospital procedures and standards.

Installation of 456 cat 6a shielded Belden outlets throughout, including wall outlets, Medical Service Panels, CCTV, AV and WAPs. Outlets were installed terminated across three separate colour coded networks within two racks.

Installation of 75 pair Cat3 Voice Tie.

Installation of new fibre backbone cabling, 12 core Belden single mode fibre link.

Installation of 1 new 45RU racks c/w 2 x PDU’s including vertical and horizontal cable management, earthing of ICT rack included.

VTI Certification and vendor Warranty approved.
